Job description

Join a team where precision meets purpose! We are a leading tool & die manufacturer specializing in large Class-A stamping dies. Right now, we're looking for talented CNC Machinists who bring experience, pride in their work, and a problem-solving mindset to join our team. Machinists will perform on-floor programming, tackling complex builds, and working with state-of-the-art CNC machines in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
This position is 1st shift (days) at Hercules Tooling Group in Warren & Fraser.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Program directly at the machine using SMIRT
  • Set up and operate large Vertical, and 5-AXIS CNC Mills
  • Prove out programs with NC programmers and troubleshoot on the fly
  • Machine precision components to tight tolerances using a variety of materials
  • Perform drilling, milling, and tapping operations
  • Use precision measurement tools to inspect your work
  • Collaborate with designers and team members to improve processes and results
  • Document operations and results for quality tracking

Position Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience with large Vertical CNC mills (tooling work preferred)
  • Experience operating or programming Multi-Access CNC machines a strong plus
  • Skilled in reading blueprints, understanding GD&T, and interpreting engineering documentation
  • Strong proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Attention to detail, strong math skills, and solid mechanical aptitude
  • Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform essential functions safely and reliably
