CNC Lathe Machinist – Multi-Axis / Swiss


Location: Madison Heights, MI

Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Shift: 1st Shift (5:30am – 3:30pm, Monday–Friday)

Pay Range: Up to $32/hour


About the Opportunity


A well-established precision machining company in Madison Heights is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join their team on 1st shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist who can handle full setups, make program edits, and work across both fixed headstock and Swiss-style CNC lathes.


This is a strong opportunity to join a stable shop with advanced equipment and a consistent schedule, where machinists are trusted to own their work from setup through production and quality.


What You’ll Do


● Perform complete setups on CNC lathe machines

● Operate machines during production runs, making offsets and minor program edits as needed

● Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools

● Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements

● Read and understand CNC programs and code

● Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met

● Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust accordingly


Equipment You’ll Work With


Fixed Headstock CNC Lathes:


● Miyano BND (single turret, twin spindle)

● Miyano BNE (twin turret, twin spindle)

● Miyano BNA (single turret, twin spindle)


Swiss CNC Machines:


● Citizen A32 & L32

● Tsugami BO325, 326, 386, 206, 327


What You Bring


● Strong CNC lathe experience (setups required)

● Ability to make offsets and minor program edits

● Experience reading blueprints and GD&T

● Familiarity with CNC code

● Experience with Swiss machines is highly preferred

● Programming experience is a plus, but not required

● Strong attention to detail and quality
