Baystate Therapeutics is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Fairfax, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient clinic located in Fairfax, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, preventing disability, and restoring muscle function under a physician's guidance.
  • Evaluate and document patients’ physical conditions through various diagnostic methods to formulate effective treatment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ home environments to identify barriers to rehabilitation and recommend modifications to enhance independence.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, including manual techniques and modalities such as traction and massage, while educating patients and families on the importance of adherence to prescribed regimens.
  • Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure the successful delivery of care while complying with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively develop and review comprehensive treatment plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including patient evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries in alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to patients and their families regarding the use and care of therapeutic devices and overall physical therapy programs.
  • Contribute to departmental goals through hands-on engagement in project initiatives aimed at improving patient care and operational effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, and those needing rehabilitation following injuries. Our clinic emphasizes a patient-centered approach, where you will work closely with patients of varying ages, ensuring that each therapy session is tailored to their unique circumstances and personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Virginia, reflecting no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques and a comprehensive understanding of up-to-date therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong documentation skills using EMR systems, ideally including experience with Web PT.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting with a focus on diverse therapeutic interventions.
  • Proficient understanding of evidence-based physical therapy practices and the ability to apply them effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
