A/V Installation Technician / Lead Technician

Home TheaterWorks — North Atlanta Area
Full-time | Up to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and role

Home TheaterWorks is hiring an installation technician or an experienced lead technician to join our team. We install home theaters, whole-home audio, Control4 automation, networking and Wi-Fi, lighting control, and motorized shades in custom homes throughout the North Atlanta area.

We are open to candidates at different experience levels. Your role and compensation will reflect your technical skills, installation experience, and ability to manage work independently.

The opportunity

• Installation Technician: Work alongside a lead technician installing equipment, running and terminating wiring, and testing systems. Related experience in A/V, low-voltage, electrical, security, or networking is valuable.

• Lead Technician: Take ownership of installations, organize daily work, guide another technician, troubleshoot systems, and communicate clearly with clients and project management. Previous residential A/V or home automation installation experience is expected.

What you’ll do

• Install TVs, speakers, equipment racks, networking equipment, and smart-home systems.
• Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage wiring.
• Complete clean, organized installations with attention to detail.
• Help configure, test, and troubleshoot equipment based on your experience level.
• Keep accurate job notes and communicate progress, issues, and material needs.
• Protect clients’ homes and maintain a clean, professional work area.

What we’re looking for

• Pride in the finished product—from visible equipment to the wiring behind the rack.

Experience with Control4, residential networking, lighting control, motorized shades, and equipment rack installation is a plus. For lead candidates, the ability to run installations and troubleshoot independently is especially valuable.

Pay and benefits

• Annual compensation up to $90,000, depending on experience and responsibilities. The lower end reflects a supporting installation role; the upper end reflects an experienced lead technician capable of independently managing installations and troubleshooting.
