Treasury Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to lead key treasury initiatives that support the organization's liquidity, funding, and balance sheet strategies. This role is responsible for overseeing treasury operations, developing sophisticated financial models, managing funding and borrowing activities, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The Treasury Manager will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Risk, and business leaders to optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance treasury processes. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys blending analytical rigor with strategic business partnership in a dynamic banking environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead treasury activities supporting liquidity management, funding strategies, balance sheet optimization, and treasury operations
  • Manage borrowing activities, investment strategies, collateral utilization, and contingent funding resources to support organizational objectives
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to evaluate liquidity, funding concentrations, deposit trends, and balance sheet performance
  • Prepare treasury reporting, stress testing, and analytical materials that support executive leadership and Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) decision-making
  • Evaluate liquidity risk and recommend strategies to optimize Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) performance while balancing regulatory requirements and business objectives
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, and business leaders to align treasury initiatives with capital planning, interest rate risk management, and long-term growth strategies
  • Recommend enhancements to treasury policies, governance, internal controls, and analytical processes to strengthen operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor funding markets, liquidity conditions, and emerging financial risks while providing actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Support enterprise-wide financial initiatives and special projects as organizational priorities evolve
  • Drive continuous improvement within treasury operations through process optimization, reporting enhancements, and technology utilization
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in treasury, banking, finance, accounting, risk management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in liquidity management, balance sheet strategy, funding, asset/liability management, borrowing, collateral management, or treasury operations within a banking environment
  • Strong understanding of treasury principles, including liquidity stress testing, wholesale funding, deposit analytics, and structural balance sheet management
  • Experience developing treasury models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and executive reporting used to support strategic decision-making
  • Working knowledge of regulatory liquidity frameworks, including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Professional treasury or finance certifications such as CTP, CFA, or FRM are preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering thoughtful, data-driven recommendations in a fast-paced environment
