Job description

The Director, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)is responsible fordriving the division's growth through the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities and adjacent market expansion initiatives. Serving as the division's lead for M&A, this role oversees market mapping, target identification, relationship development, valuation support, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration. The Director partners with business leaders to assess strategic growth opportunities, strengthen the division's market position, and support the long-term evolution of the business portfolio.

What You Will Do at Graco

Strategic M&A Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end M&A process for the division, including target identification, strategic fit assessment, valuation support, due diligence, negotiations, transaction planning, and integration oversight.

  • Develop andmaintaina robust pipeline of acquisition targets aligned with division and corporate growth priorities.

  • Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis toidentifyattractive markets, technologies, and acquisition opportunities.

  • Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership throughout the deal lifecycle.

  • Develop investment theses and business cases for acquisition opportunities, including financial modeling,synergyanalysis, and return-on-investment assessments.

  • Present recommendations and transaction updates to executive leadership and steering committees.

  • Support acquisition integration planning to ensure successful value capture and realization of growthobjectives.

Strategic Growth & Business Development

  • Evaluate organic and inorganic market expansion opportunities.

  • Develop market entry and portfolio growth strategies that support long-term businessobjectives.

  • Identifyemerging technologies, adjacent markets, and new business models that could accelerate growth.

  • Build andmaintainstrategic relationships withacquisitioncandidates, industry leaders, investment bankers, advisors, and other external stakeholders.

  • Partner with division leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable growth initiatives.

  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process with a framework for divisions, including the identification of key strategic initiatives at corporate level, the development of actionableplansand KPIs to measure progress.

What You Will Bring to Graco

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing,Engineeringora relatedfield. Master's degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience inM&A, corporate development, strategic planning, investment banking, private equity, business development, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated experience leading acquisition evaluations, due diligence activities, and complex strategic growth initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.

  • Strong financial acumen, including valuation methodologies, business case development, financial modeling, and investment analysis.

  • Ability to manage and influence a cross-function team with few direct reports and whose members haveadditionalresponsibilities outside of the team.

  • Superior project management and organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multidimensional strategic projects at one time.

  • Excellent analytical,organizationaland presentation skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and influence employees of all levels and from various business groups.

  • Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,dynamicand deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, domestic and international.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
