Job description

Hospitality amp; Retreats ManagerWhat You'll Do

With a focus on guest experience, the Hospitality amp; Retreats Manager provides leadership and daily guidance for housekeeping and retreat operations, including developing relationships with individuals and groups, internal/external professional communication, and leadership in event planning and execution. At Camp Eden Wood, the manager is also responsible for office cleanliness, administration, and organizational duties. Camp Eden Wood has overnight accommodation for 90+ people.

Pay: $44,868 - $50,345 per year
Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, supervise, train, and mentor Housekeeping and Retreat team members.
  • Schedule and manage day-to-day housekeeping and retreat operations.
  • Partner directly with retreat leaders and guests to plan events and provide support before, during, and after their stay.
  • Coordinate guest needs with internal departments, including Facilities and other camp teams.
  • Lead guest experience initiatives and foster positive relationships with individuals and groups.
  • Develop and maintain Camping Together relationships at the designated location.
  • Provide hosting services and on-call leadership support for retreat groups.
  • Assist with cleaning cabins, lodging facilities, and common areas, particularly during Summer Camp.
  • Operate the camp Canteen during Summer Camp sessions and as needed throughout the year.
  • Perform administrative duties such as mail collection, ordering office supplies, and maintaining office organization.
  • Communicate departmental updates and needs to leadership.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Recreation, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of customer service experience.
  • At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, retreat leaders, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to pass the organization's required background study.
