Job Title: Server, Fireside Restaurant

Reports to: Dining Services Manager

Rate: $15-16/hr plus gratuity/tips. (starting rate will depend on experience, qualifications, education, etc.)

Timeframe: We are seeking Full-time and Part-time candidates. Schedules and shifts will vary, but there is an expectation to be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Summary:

Medinah Country Club is currently seeking experienced servers to join our Formal/Fine-Dining restaurant on property, the Fireside Restaurant. Private clubs are unlike any other industry. Our newly renovated restaurants are in need of food and beverage professionals with a willingness to provide outstanding service to our members and their guests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate genuine hospitality while greeting and establishing positive relationships with members and guests throughout the club.
  • Deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain restaurant equipment, storage, dining room, and patio.
  • Setup and breakdown of bar and restaurant.
  • Put away requisition each day.
  • Perform all side work as assigned.
  • Keep the restaurant and patio clean, safe, and presentable at all times while always providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Deliver food and beverages to members and guests.
  • Answer questions regarding food and beverage menus.
  • Take, ring through POS, and serve food orders, to-go orders, and specialty orders.
  • Make food and beverage recommendations to members and guests.
  • Own every member request.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have willingness to serve and a positive attitude.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Must have previous serving experience.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, club events, and most holidays.
  • Must be Food Handler and BASSET certified.
  • Must possess a true desire to satisfy the needs of members and guests in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must have ability to lift moderate amounts of weight up to 35lbs.
  • Experience in private clubs is a plus
