Description:Position Summary

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and brand compliance. This role assists in managing daily housekeeping activities, supervising staff, maintaining quality assurance standards, controlling departmental expenses, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping in managing all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen services.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members to achieve departmental goals and service standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
  • Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling to ensure operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with AAA and Forbes luxury hospitality standards.
  • Conduct quality audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Address guest concerns and situations promptly and professionally.
Training & Development
  • Support onboarding and continuous training programs for housekeeping staff.

  • Assist with inventory management of linens, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and operating equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.

Requirements:Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Previous experience working in a AAA Four Diamond and/or Forbes Travel Guide-rated luxury property strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations, inventory management, and quality assurance standards.
  • Proficiency in property management and housekeeping systems.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
