DESCRIPTION:ย 

RBC has a unique opportunity for an entry level Accountant to join our organization.ย  This position offers an exceptional opportunity to launch and grow your career in an organization that encourages and supports advancement.ย  This position is based in our world headquarters in Oxford, CT with whom you will work alongside other professionals in a supportive environment.ย  Travel to our facilities in Switzerland and France is required up to 50% of the time.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Prepare and process monthly journal entriesย 
  • Collect and verify supporting documentation for all journal entries.ย 
  • Reconcile general ledger accountsย 
  • Review GL activity for accuracy and completeness and escalate unusual or unexpected variances.ย 
  • Assistย with monthly close processesย 
  • Prepare financial and statistical reports asย requiredย 
  • Support the creation ofย adhocย financial analyses for leadershipย 
  • Compile and provide support for quarterly and annual reviews and auditsย 
  • Frequent travel to Europeย requiredย 
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the jobย 

EDUCATION:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with major in accountingย requiredย 
  • Fluent in Frenchย or 1stย languageย 

EXPERIENCE:ย 

  • Knowledge ofย generally acceptedย accounting principles and understanding of SEC reporting requirementsย 
  • Knowledge ofย consolidatingย intercompany financial reportsย 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply academic accounting knowledge in professional settings through internships, coops,ย parttimeย roles, or relevant work-study positions.ย ย 
  • Exhibits strong professional maturity, including sound judgment, accountability, and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.ย 
  • Shows initiative by proactivelyย identifyingย issues, asking clarifying questions, and seeking opportunities to improve processes.ย 
  • Provenย track recordย of meeting deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and producingย accurate,ย highqualityย financial work.ย 

SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:ย 

  • Requiredย French Speakingย
