Ardsley High School is seeking a dynamic and versatile French Foreign Language Teacher for a position for the 2026-2027 school year.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that develop proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures. This teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment and use a communicative approach to help students build real-world language skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in French at various proficiency levels
  • Develop students' language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
  • Incorporate cultural content and authentic materials into lessons
  • Use a communicative and interactive approach to language instruction
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
