Job description

Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning (or designee), the
Chinese Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Coach provides instructional coaching and
professional learning to educators within the District's Chinese Dual Language Immersion
program. The coach collaborates with teachers, school administrators, and district staff to
strengthen Tier 1 instruction, improve Chinese language development and biliteracy
outcomes, and promote effective implementation of the Dual Language Immersion model.
The position supports continuous improvement through coaching cycles, data analysis, and
evidence-based instructional practices that increase student achievement.

French Dual Language Instruction Coach
Part -Time 185 days a year/ Salary Table 1
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
*Provide collaborative, non-evaluative coaching to French Dual Language Immersion (DLI) educators to strengthen biliteracy and content instruction.
*Deliver job-embedded coaching support (≈85% of week)
*Support French language proficiency and immersion practices
*Partner with leaders to advance DLI program goals
WHAT YOU WILL DO
*Facilitate coaching cycles to improve Tier 1 immersion instruction
*Model effective French language use and biliteracy strategies
*Support alignment of curriculum, instruction, and proficiency outcomes
*Use student data to guide instructional decisions
*Design and deliver professional learning for DLI educators
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
*Proficiency in French (Native or near native proficiency required as measured of an OPI score of Advanced Mid or higher) as well as a deep understanding of immersion pedagogy
*Completion of a teacher certification and current Utah Educator's License.
*Willingness to learn and implement effective coaching cycles
*Ability to plan and deliver high-quality professional learning experiences
*Commitment to collaboration with partner schools and districts
*Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
*Ability to use data to inform instruction and professional learning
*Will be required to visit multiple locations per week
