Role Description:

BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Sales Manager is responsible for generating conference business from a national market, maximization of sales, development of potential markets, and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).

 Minimum (2) two years of college, degree desirable.

 Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 Prefer experience in hotel sales or related industry.

 Aggressive, outgoing, and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality.

 Employment contingent on favorable background investigation and drug screen.

 Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to work in the Casino in a non-sensitive area

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Makes personal visits, when necessary, to target areas and calls on companies and associations located in a specific market or area.

2. Books meetings, conferences, and social guests from assigned areas.

3. Dedicates majority of time to direct telephone sales.

4. Reworks and maintains old account files and solicits new accounts.

5. Responds to all correspondence from assigned areas and traces dates for reworking and follow up.

6. Attends trade shows pertinent to assigned areas and attends meetings, seminars, and functions through membership in association.

7. Performs general office duties and assists other personnel, as required.

8. Maintains a constant contact with corporate and association meeting planners; maintains membership and contacts in hotel industry associations.

9. Maintains a working relationship with departments interacting with convention groups.

10. Develops new accounts by being inquisitive of accounts we have for "spin off".

11. Stays abreast of industry trends and makes recommendations of changes which would affect operations.

12. Maintains accurate forecast and recap information.

13. Sets-up and conducts site inspections for entire property.

14. Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
