Parts Puller - Fyda Freightliner Youngstown

Are you quick on your feet with a passion for the automotive world?
We're looking for a highly motivated and energetic Parts Puller to join our fast-paced warehouse team! You will be the engine of our parts department-keeping things moving, ensuring accuracy, and providing top-notch service to our customers and counter staff. If you know your way around truck and auto components and love a hands-on, active workday, we want you on our crew!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Be the Speed Demon: Quickly and accurately pull parts from the warehouse for both the front and back counter staff.
  • Prioritize Like a Pro: Ensure our 10:30 A.M. delivery routes and waiting customers get the VIP, first-priority treatment they deserve.
  • Quality Control Check: Review and double-check all orders for 100% accuracy, then expertly bag or box the parts.
  • Customer Champion: Step in to assist customers by loading parts directly into their vehicles.
  • Own Your Space: Keep the will-call area looking sharp and maintain clean, clear, and safe paths throughout the warehouse.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • The Knowledge: A High School diploma (or equivalent) and a solid basic understanding of truck and auto components. You also have a general mechanical aptitude.
  • The Skills: High school-level business math, basic computer know-how, and excellent English communication skills to keep the team and customers happy.
  • The Muscle: This is a highly physical role! You must be able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift throughout your shift.
    • Heavy Lifting: You are comfortable carrying 10-50 lbs most of the day (70%), 51-90 lbs frequently (20%), and 100+ lbs occasionally (10%).
  • Safety First: You have the ability to safely operate forklifts and lift trucks to load/unload shipments, store parts, and assist customers.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required with basic knowledge of truck/auto components.
  • Excellent communication skills and must speak English.
  • High school business math.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work on a computer.
  • General mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. Specifically:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach and lift.
  • Must be able to carry 10 to 50 pounds 70% of the work time; 51 to 90 pounds 20% of the work time; and 100 plus pounds 10% of the work time.
