What is a freight sales agent?

Freight Sales Agents are professionals who sell transportation and logistics services to businesses needing to move goods domestically or internationally. Their main role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their shipping needs, and offering tailored freight solutions. They negotiate rates, coordinate shipments, and serve as the primary point of contact between clients and carriers. Freight Sales Agents often work for freight brokers, shipping companies, or logistics firms and must stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
