Branch Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics Overview

Lead all branch operations for a global freight forwarder specializing in air, ocean, multimodal, and contract logistics. Drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction in a high-volume, time-critical environment (strong focus on electronics, semiconductors, and Asia-Pac trade lanes).

Key Responsibilities
  • Own full P&L: revenue targets, cost control, margin improvement, and profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Build and expand customer relationships; identify new business opportunities.
  • Oversee daily freight operations (air/ocean booking, documentation, customs, warehouse coordination).
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, safety, and company SOPs.
  • Monitor KPIs (on-time performance, claims, productivity) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams on capacity, pricing, and service delivery.
  • Manage local vendor and carrier relationships.
Requirements
  • 7+ years logistics/freight forwarding experience, including 3+ years in branch or operations management.
  • Proven track record growing sales and managing P&L.
  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight, Incoterms, and customs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
