Job Summary:
The Satellite Terminal oversees the daily execution and overall performance of station operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. This role partners closely with the Director of Network Operations to lead teams, manage workflows, and maintain operational and financial controls.
This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. The Satellite Terminal Manager plays a key role in aligning operational execution with customer expectations and business objectives. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. This position does not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay Range:
$85,600 - $137,000 per year DOE
In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency expectations, the posted range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with other terminals to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of freight
  • Coordinate with R&M, Sales and IT to ensure daily operations are efficient
  • Support planning, direction, and oversight of daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service quality
  • Ensure consistent execution of freight forwarding and dispatch functions
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time performance
  • Assist in managing operational and financial performance metrics
  • Lead, coach, and support frontline employees in alignment with company standards
  • Reinforce safety practices and operational compliance requirements
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance management
  • Oversee operational activities including shipment coordination and tracking, inbound/outbound scheduling and alerts, proof of delivery (POD) processing, customer communication and rate quoting
  • Review billing accuracy, invoicing, and cost/revenue analysis
  • Support Accounts Payable/Receivable and claims resolution processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable federal and Hawaii state regulations
  • Coordinate with HR to recruit, hire, train, coach and discipline employees
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation
  • Participate in operational audits and project initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation
  • Demonstrated understanding of operations management, financial principles, and team leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • 10 years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
  • 10 years Supervisory experience in a high-volume or multi-site environment
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding, dispatch systems, or transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Experience with operational reporting and performance metrics
  • Ability to pass required background checks, including employer, customer, and/or SIDA background
Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based with regular interaction in the warehouse and operational environments. Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
