Freight Payments Billing Specialist
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Freight Payments Billing Specialist position is the first step toward paying carriers for the transportation of JBS Pork and Beef from our U.S. and Canada plants to our customers. This position collaborates with internal and external partners to resolve transportation vendor payment issues. The specialist will be proficient in working through problem solving and have strong interpersonal skills. This role is based fully onsite at our Corporate office in Greeley, CO.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage plant and customer detention aging.
  • Notify plants of loading detentions needing review and run detention reports for internal teams.
  • Notify customer service team of unloading detentions needing review.
  • Determine layover approval and late fee approval with customer service/freight planners.
  • Answer a myriad of questions from carriers through email as they come in daily.
  • Utilize the e2open system for data entry.
  • Manage customer data and receiving hours between Order Management and e2open
  • Cross functional communication with internal and external teams to ensure payments are paid in a timely manner.
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:
  • Excellent and professional communication
  • Exceptional computer skills - Microsoft Suite applications, email etiquette
  • Able to stay organized and multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and e2open
  • Excel experience; pivot tables and macros preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and have an analytical mindset
  • Prior experience in the transportation industry a plus
  • Self-driven and motivated to learn and adapt quickly
  • Trustworthy, disciplined and focused with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary of $21-22/hr; and
