Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is the Store Manager’s right hand and is responsible for running the sales floor, leading the team, and ensuring the store operates smoothly at all times.

This is a leadership role — not a support role.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the floor and maintain full customer coverage
  • Assign tasks, delegate work, and ensure completion
  • Hold team accountable to performance, behavior, and attendance
  • Act as Manager-on-Duty when needed
  • Ensure every customer is greeted and helped immediately
  • Execute daily priorities (freight, merchandising, recovery)
  • Support inventory accuracy and in-stock conditions
Non-Negotiables
  • Floor coverage is always the top priority
  • You lead when you are the most senior person present
  • You delegate and follow through — you don’t wait for direction
  • You take ownership of problems and solve them
  • You maintain urgency and set the standard for the team
Qualifications
  • Retail and/or leadership experience required

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to run the store independently
