The Brand Copy and Content Manager is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional marketing partners to develop clear, compelling, and consistent brand copy across all marketing channels. Duties include producing a significant portion of the company's marketing copy, ensuring consistency across campaigns, product storytelling, and brand communications, and supporting product launches, campaigns, and ongoing business needs with high-quality written content and project management. The role requires exceptional writing ability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to translate product and design details into clear, engaging brand stories within a fast-paced environment.

How success is defined:
  • Develop and write brand copy across key marketing channels, including email, website, landing pages, campaign messaging, social media, and product storytelling.
  • Ensure all written content reflects a polished, consistent brand voice across campaigns, designer collections, and product categories.
  • Produce a substantial portion of the company's marketing copy and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Edit and refine copy from internal teams and freelancers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Translate product features and design details into compelling product stories that support launches and core brand initiatives.
  • Support marketing and product teams by delivering timely, high-quality copy for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and ongoing marketing needs.
  • Maintain and evolve brand voice guidelines, ensuring consistent tone and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Serve as the primary internal resource for brand copy, offering guidance, recommendations, and support across the organization.
  • Coordinate and manage freelance writers, including assigning projects, providing direction, and editing deliverables for consistency.
  • Support and improve copy workflows and processes, including prioritizing requests, tracking deliverables, and coordinating with marketing and creative teams.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule while being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of professional copywriting or brand content experience, ideally within a marketing or creative environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront preferred; MS Office Suite required
  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand storytelling, product narratives, and multi-channel copywriting.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for various formats and audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate product features and design details into compelling stories.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experienced collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and product teams.
  • Experience managing freelance writers, including providing direction and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how to integrate them into engaging, brand-aligned content.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings

Compensation Range: $115,000 - $122,000 based on location
