Are you a Registered Nurse passionate about making a real difference? SHW is a 16-bed Adolescent Psychiatric Treatment Hospital serving youth ages 11-18, nestled in a beautiful location between Ridgecrest and Centennial golf courses in Nampa. At SHW, we provide inpatient psychiatric care for Idaho's adolescents with serious mental health needs, partnering closely with families and communities to support lasting recovery. SHW is accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and certified by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This position also requires applicants to become certified in CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
Employees may be required to work weekends, holidays, day or night shifts.
This position is not eligible for telework.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. This announcement may be used to fill full-time, part-time, and temporary positions. Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Incumbents carry out charge RN responsibilities in addition to skilled nursing.
  • Provides professional nursing care and determines need for and arranges professional consultations.
  • Abides by standards of nursing practice and unit and institution policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates completion of required nursing records.
Performs professional nursing that may include:
