Job description

Las Vegas, Nevada

The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a place full of excitement, diversity, and entertainment? Are you enthusiastic about being a team player in one of the most fascinating industries in the world? At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.

THE JOB:

The Social Media Producer conceptualizes, captures, edits, and delivers standout social media content for select brands within MGM Resorts' 13-property Las Vegas portfolio. Operating both independently and in collaboration with senior creatives, brand teams, partners, and influencers, the Producer leads end-to-end shoots primarily across resorts, restaurants, pools, nightlife venues, and live events. This role leverages modern creative techniques and emerging technology to produce dynamic, platform-native content aligned with each brand's unique voice.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Develop creative briefs into engaging, platform-specific content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and more, ranging from quick social-native clips to polished multimedia productions. Lead projects end-to-end, including ideation, logistics planning, art direction, filming, editing, and post-production, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Shoot on property across active resort environments, including casino floors, restaurants, pools, nightlife venues, guest rooms, retail, and live events, adapting to live operating conditions, guest presence, compressed access windows, and unpredictable circumstances. Maintain a consistent production cadence across assigned brands, supporting multiple properties concurrently and delivering against campaign, always-on, and same-day turnaround needs. Scope productions appropriately, distinguishing agile run-and-gun capture from campaign-level shoots and matching production investment to the value of the moment. Direct talent on camera, including influencers, on-camera hosts, chefs, entertainers, and property associates, running an efficient set that puts subjects at ease and protects the guest experience. Set and uphold production standards and creative style for assigned brands, ensuring shot conventions, capture specifications, and overall output align with social-first best practices and maintain consistency across properties. Own asset organization, file management, and archive for assigned productions, ensuring raw footage and finished assets are labeled, stored, and retrievable for reuse across the team. Direct freelance crew, agency of record, contract shooters, and production vendors on larger productions, briefing them on brand standards, creative intent, and quality expectations. Collaborate closely with creative directors, social media managers, property marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to align and elevate content strategy. Monitor and integrate cultural trends and apply AI-assisted production and post-production workflows to expand creative range, leveraging agile production techniques and professional gear while maintaining MGM Resorts brand safety, disclosure, and governance standards. Ensure content complies with brand standards, legal requirements, and platform best practices, securing necessary rights, releases, and clearances.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Has 3+ Years of prior relevant experience in content creation or social media creative roles, including hands-on production on location, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, or lifestyle industries
  • Proven expertise in multimedia content creation (video, photography, graphic design, motion graphics), demonstrated by a strong portfolio of social-native work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), DaVinci, Gemini AI, and with working knowledge of mobile-first editing tools.
  • Demonstrated command of vertical-first shooting and editing, including framing for 9:16, pacing for sound-off viewing, sound design, color correction, and cutdown versioning across placements.
  • Ability to light and capture in uncontrolled environments, including low-light nightlife venues, high-contrast daylight pool decks, and mixed color temperature interiors.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), emerging formats, and digital trends.
  • Working knowledge of paid social deliverable specifications, including aspect ratios, safe zones, and asset versioning for multi-placement delivery.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel as needed.
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, film, digital media, or related field - Preferred
  • Has 4+ Years of prior relevant experience including experience producing for a multi-brand or portfolio-based organization - Preferred
  • Experience directing on-camera talent and small crews on set - Preferred
THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
  • Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally
  • Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more
  • Free parking on and off shift
  • Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)
  • Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community
