Responsibilities

Join Hobbs Brook Real Estate (HBRE) and help shape strategic decisions across a premier commercial real estate portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence investment and operational decisions, and gain exposure to acquisitions, asset management, leasing strategy, financial analysis, and portfolio performance. You'll combine financial analysis, market intelligence, and strategic thinking to support investment and asset management decisions that drive portfolio value and long-term success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support strategic decision-making across HBRE's commercial real estate portfolio through financial analysis, market research, and business intelligence.
  • Partner with Asset Management and senior leadership to evaluate portfolio performance, investment opportunities, and operational initiatives.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices impacting portfolio performance.
  • Develop financial models, underwriting analyses, scenario planning, dashboards, market plans, and executive reporting materials.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of leasing, capital projects, acquisitions, and other real estate transactions utilizing NPV, IRR, and other valuation methodologies.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from multiple sources to identify key business trends, cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain analyses utilizing ARGUS, Microsoft Excel, and other real estate investment platforms to support investment and asset management decisions.
  • Track portfolio performance metrics and contribute to reporting that informs strategic planning and long-term value creation.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in real estate analysis, asset management, acquisitions, investments, valuation, finance, or a related field preferred

1-3 years of experience in real estate analysis, asset management, acquisitions, investments, valuation, finance, or a related field with argus certification considered

Recent grads with real estate focused internships and argus experience considered.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience utilizing ARGUS Enterprise for valuation and investment analysis.
  • Understanding of commercial real estate financial principles, valuation methodologies, and investment performance metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Education & License

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business, or a related field required
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant commercial real estate experience will also be considered.

The hiring range for this position is $83,000 to $103,400 a year. Final offers are based on factors such as geographic location, education, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for FM's Total Rewards program, including an incentive plan, health and well-being programs, 401(k) and pension, career development and tuition reimbursement, and time off.
