Freelance real estate appraisers are independent professionals who assess the value of properties for various purposes, such as sales, refinancing, insurance, or tax assessments. Unlike staff appraisers who work for a specific company, freelance appraisers operate their own businesses and take on assignments from multiple clients, including banks, real estate agencies, or private individuals. They inspect properties, analyze market data, and prepare detailed appraisal reports to provide an unbiased estimate of a property's market value.
