Job description

The Mobile Packet Backbone Network Senior Engineer will work in a Managed Services environment, focusing on MPBN/PS Core domain operations. They will be responsible for maintaining and improving network KPIs, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with vendors and teams to ensure smooth network operations. This role requires a strong understanding of core routing and transport protocols, as well as experience with multi-vendor equipment and 2G/3G/4G/5G data technologies.

  • Perform MPBN performance optimization to meet network KPIs.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MPBN and Packet Core nodes.
  • Prepare design documents and support ancillary network deployments.
  • Assign, update, and maintain Network IP planning documents.
  • Conduct periodic preventive maintenance on MPBN and Packet Core nodes.
  • Determine correlations between applications, Packet Core, RAN, and IPRAN.
  • Manage software and hardware updates on MPBN nodes.
  • Follow up on MPBN work orders and incident reports.
  • Verify and ensure timely closure of domain trouble tickets and change requests.
  • Act as a customer interface and provide local domain support to the NOC.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
  • 5-10 years of experience or above in a relevant field.
  • Strong IP skills with professional certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Nokia NRS, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIE).
  • Extensive experience in multi-vendor Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
  • Good understanding of 3GPP interfaces and call flows.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Unix/Linux administration.
  • Integration and support experience in 2G/3G/4G/5G data technologies.
  • Ability to work with third parties to enhance customer experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to provide on-the-job training and support to team members.
