Design and Print Project Manager (Grants Mill Campus, Irondale Location)

Church of the Highlands exists to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become fully devoted followers of Christ. We have an immediate, full-time opening for a Design and Print Project Manager in our Creative Department. The Project Manager's role is to lead and manage organization-wide efforts from the Design and Print division of the Creative Team of Church of the Highlands. The Project Manager will work closely with Creative Directors, team members and managers and other departments to execute projects to support Highlands' services, conferences, and departmental needs as well as projects for marketing, website, and special events.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in project management, creative operations, or a related field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines
  • Experience leading projects across teams and coordinating with other departments
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Monday.com)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Must be proactive and self-driven
  • Must have an ability to anticipate needs and also to collaborate
  • Conflict resolution skills required

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Creating project tasks for, and evaluating the workload of, team members
  • Gathering information and constructing plans for projects from ideation to completion
  • Managing departmental expectations and ensuring that each department's creative needs are met
  • Staying up-to-date and conducting new research on industry trends
  • Conducting meetings both with vendors and different departments across the church staff
  • Providing copywriting and editing assistance
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records on projects
  • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Preparing reports and/or special projects, which may include data collection, coordination, final copy preparation, distribution, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining systematic and organizational processes for the Design and Print Team including, but not limited to, timelines, goals, revision history, and content delivery
  • Ensuring that project timelines are met on time or ahead of schedule
  • Developing relationships interdepartmentally and with other departments through collaboration, communication, and focusing on a common goal
  • Creating and maintaining a knowledge base of documentation detailing the scope, functionality, and history of developed content
