Job description

Albert helps chemists change the world by building technology that understands how they work. As chemists ourselves, we know what it's like when software doesn't work the way you do - stuck with systems built by people who never spent a day at the bench. That's why we created Albert OS, the first AI-native operating system for materials science, designed to remove every obstacle between curiosity and discovery.
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager, Web & AI Search to join our growing team. This role, with a focus on owning Albert's web presence and search strategy across traditional and AI-powered channels, will play a key part in driving successful outcomes for Albert's most strategically important customers and internal initiatives.
If you're passionate about cutting-edge technology and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do
Strategy & Delivery
  • Own the website as a growth channel - defining strategy, setting priorities, and driving the roadmap for organic and AI-powered search visibility across traditional and emerging platforms.
  • Develop and execute SEO and GEO/AEO strategies that improve Albert's discoverability in AI-generated search environments including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
  • Define the organic pipeline contribution model - connecting web performance, search visibility, and conversion outcomes to measurable revenue impact.

Execution & Collaboration
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives including schema markup, internal linking, metadata, crawl optimization, and Core Web Vitals; ensure ongoing site health and performance.
  • Partner with content, product marketing, demand generation, and RevOps to develop high-performing organic growth programs and search-driven conversion paths.
  • Manage external agencies, developers, and freelancers to execute web and SEO workstreams efficiently; build scalable processes and digital best practices across the marketing organization.
  • Build reporting frameworks that surface organic performance, website engagement, and AI search visibility to leadership.

Leadership & Impact
  • Shape Albert's category leadership through content architecture, topical authority building, and a website experience that clearly communicates Albert's value to scientific and technical buyers.
  • Define digital best practices and scalable workflows that raise the capability floor of the broader marketing organization.
  • Operate as the internal authority on web strategy and AI search - advising cross-functional partners and leadership on how search and discovery are evolving.
You will have
  • 6-10+ years in digital marketing, GEO/SEO, growth marketing, or website strategy in B2B SaaS or technology companies.
  • Strong expertise in technical GEO/SEO, content GEO/SEO, and website optimization with a demonstrated track record of driving measurable organic growth and conversion improvement.
  • Experience owning or significantly influencing company website strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot, and modern analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, or headless CMS environments.
  • Experience with structured data/schema markup, semantic search, and AI-search optimization (GEO/AEO).
  • Proven ability to manage agencies, contractors, and external development resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.
Key Competencies
Systems Thinking: Ability to visualize how web, content, and search systems connect to drive meaningful business outcomes across the buyer journey.
Grit: Self-starter and persistent problem solver, relentless in the pursuit of measurable progress.
Innovator: Passionate about staying ahead of how AI is changing search and B2B discovery, and translating that into practical strategy.
Adaptability: Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including product marketing, demand generation, and RevOps.
Leadership: Ability to lead initiatives and drive scalable, high-impact programs to completion with minimal oversight.
Why Albert?
We have a huge impact. Albert is a growing team with a global reach. We're building toward a future where discovery feels like exploration, not administration. Where chemists can pursue their most ambitious ideas without friction.
We love our global team. Albert's HQ is in the California Bay Area, but we have multiple offices and employees around the globe: India, Germany and Japan. In fact, over 50% of our employees work outside of California. An international hybrid culture is in our DNA.
We care about you. Albert works hard to create a positive environment for our employees, and we think your life outside of work is important too. We work hard and we play hard.
We value diversity. Growing and maintaining our inclusive and diverse team matters to us. We are committed to being a company where our employees feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have the ability to be successful - every day.
We're always looking for humble, sharp, and creative folks to join the Albert team. If you think you might be a fit, please apply.
