What is a freelance moving job?

A Freelance Moving job involves independently helping clients with tasks related to packing, loading, transporting, and unloading their belongings. Unlike traditional moving companies, freelance movers work on a flexible schedule and may take on one-time or recurring moving jobs. They might offer additional services such as furniture assembly or junk removal. Freelance movers typically find work through online platforms, local advertisements, or word-of-mouth referrals.

What skills and qualifications are needed for freelance moving?

To thrive as a Freelance Mover, you need strong physical stamina, experience in safely packing, loading, and transporting goods, and a valid driver's license. Familiarity with moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, moving blankets, and, if operating larger vehicles, a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be beneficial. Excellent customer service, punctuality, and problem-solving skills will help you exceed client expectations and efficiently handle unexpected situations. These skills are crucial for ensuring client satisfaction, the safe delivery of belongings, and building a successful freelance moving business.

What are the typical working conditions and schedules like for freelance movers?

Freelance movers often experience variable work schedules, including evenings or weekends, depending on client needs and busy moving seasons. Work environments can range from residential homes to office buildings, and may include both local and long-distance jobs. Most movers work independently or in small teams, requiring flexibility and strong communication with clients. While the job can be physically demanding, it also offers the freedom to set your own hours and choose your assignments, making it appealing to those who prefer a dynamic and independent work style.

FREELANCE MARKETING ANALYST
Bader Rutter is a leading B2B full-service marketing and advertising agency. We do more than measure marketing. We unlock insights that drive better, smarter and braver decisions. If you're a data storyteller who loves turning numbers into action, this freelance marketing analyst opportunity is for you. Support a collaborative, curious team for which data and creativity work hand in hand to shape meaningful outcomes for our clients.
Who You Are
You're a strategic thinker with a passion for digging in to data and finding the story. You enjoy using your analytics skills to solve real-world marketing challenges and can translate complex findings into insights anyone can understand. You thrive in fast-moving environments and are comfortable balancing multiple clients and projects at once. You're skilled in both the science (SQL, Python) and the art of analytics (data storytelling, business impact), and you're always eager to learn more.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze multichannel marketing performance - across paid media, search, social, email and web - to drive optimization and uncover meaningful insights.
  • Partner with media, creative, account and strategy teams to create smart measurement strategies rooted in business outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership through strategic point of views and performance analytics best practices.
  • Present and provide counsel to clients and internal stakeholders with confidence and leadership presence.
  • Coach fellow analysts and collaborate across teams to elevate our work.
  • Work hands-on with databases and tools to run custom analyses using SQL and Python and visualization platforms like Tableau.
  • Translate data into compelling, digestible recommendations for clients and internal teams alike.
  • Stay current with client-specific martech stacks, AI tools, and digital analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.

What You Bring
  • 3-4 years of experience in marketing analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, marketing, computer science, economics or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Tableau, SQL and Python a must
  • Strong consulting and communication skills - you're confident presenting to technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Experience working with relational databases and navigating marketing performance across digital ecosystems
  • Passion for experimentation, optimization and continuous learning

What We Offer
  • Freelance engagement of 20-30 hours per week, ongoing, based on needs
  • Opportunity to work across a wide range of industries and marketing challenges
  • Supportive and inclusive culture where analytics plays a critical role in shaping our work

Location: Ideal candidates will be based in Milwaukee and could come into the office on occasion as needed.
