Job description

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for accurately managing residential loan documentation through our established systems and reviewing it to ensure that it is completed in full and complies with current banking regulations and policies. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis. If interested, please proceed by clicking Apply.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process mortgage loan files:
    • Clear liens, judgments and flood certificates.
    • Review appraisals for accuracy and confirm that the appraisal meets secondary marketing guidelines.
    • Run and review automated underwriting systems findings prior to sending to underwriters.
    • Review all supporting documents in mortgage file to ensure required documents meet underwriting standards including income (including tax returns when needed), assets, liabilities and title.
    • Assemble loan files in the mortgage loan origination system in order for submission to underwriting.
  • Request supporting documentation from third parties including the ordering of tax transcripts as required for loan files.
  • Update the loan origination system as verifications are received from the member and vendors.
  • Clear non-member facing underwriting conditions imposed by the underwriters.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and EXCEL software.
