Job description

We are looking for a Senior Medical Editor to join our team. You will take aย leadership role in ensuring the highest level of editorial quality and regulatoryย compliance. You will report to the Manager, Editorial.


This role is open to remote candidates in the United States or Canada, with aย preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

โ— Review and edit promotional content/materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, sense, AMA style, and consistency for branded/unbranded, HCP/patient, and digital/print materials
โ— Fact check/Cross-check and proofread existing content for consistencyย and/or adaptation to new channels and audiences
โ— Ensure changes are correctly incorporated between subsequent versions
of materials
โ— Retain medical, legal, and regulatory guidance to ensure consistency andย  accuracy with FDA guidelines, internal style guidelines, client feedback,ย and brand standards
โ— Support the preparation of materials for MLR submission
โ— Partner with full-time and freelance project managers, account managers,
designers, copywriters, and other editors to foster a collaborative
environment
โ— Manage own brand assignment and assist other editors, as needed
โ— Attend project kickoff meetings, hot sheet/status meetings, and team
regroups for assigned brand(s)
โ— Multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment

Requirements
โ— Bachelorโ€™s degree in communications, English, journalism, or life
sciences, as well as 5+ years of experience editing pharmaceutical
promotional materials in an agency environment
โ— Experience working across a range of therapeutic areas and product
launches is a plus
โ— Familiarity and basic proficiency with editorial software and/or AI tools
โ— Experience anchoring/linking in Veeva is a plus
