The IT Asset Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of all hardware and software assets across the organization. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, cost-effective procurement, license compliance, and proper disposition of IT assets in alignment with company policies and industry best practices. The IT Asset Manager works closely with the IT team, finance, and end users to maintain a reliable and up-to-date asset management program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive, accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets across the organization
  • Track the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through retirement and disposal
  • Coordinate hardware procurement in collaboration with IT leadership and finance, ensuring cost-effective purchasing
  • Process and document equipment assignments, transfers, and returns for onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Develop and enforce IT asset management policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct regular physical audits of IT assets to reconcile inventory records
  • Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, including maintenance contracts and renewals
  • Generate and maintain asset management reports and dashboards for IT leadership
  • Oversee the secure and compliant disposal or recycling of retired IT equipment
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to the asset management system and tooling
  • Collaborate with the Help Desk team to ensure timely provisioning and deprovisioning of assets
  • Support budget planning by providing asset cost, lifecycle, and refresh cycle data
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in IT asset management or a related IT operations role
  • Hands-on experience with IT asset management (ITAM) tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with software license compliance, vendor contracts, and procurement processes
  • Experience conducting physical and virtual asset audits
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Location:Dallas, TX - On-site. This is not a remote position.

Pay Range expected for the position: $80k - $100k annually.
