Job description

Managed Services Technician II

Full-Time | In Person | Salisbury, MA

Build Technical Expertise Across Multiple Technologies and Industries

At ALC Tech Solutions, we're looking for an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and taking ownership of outcomes.

This role begins by supporting client environments through advanced technical support and backend systems administration, providing the foundation to learn our clients, processes, and technology stack. As you demonstrate technical ability, reliability, and the ability to get things done, you'll have opportunities to take on onsite client visits, infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and increasingly complex technical challenges.

Unlike traditional IT roles that focus on a single environment, you'll work across multiple industries and technologies, supporting a wide variety of businesses with unique challenges and requirements. You'll gain experience with Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, servers, backup systems, business applications, and more.

We're looking for someone who is resourceful, accountable, and motivated to solve problems from start to finish. Success in this role comes from technical skill, communication, ownership, and a commitment to delivering results for clients.

About ALC Tech Solutions

ALC Tech Solutions is a Managed Services Provider based in Salisbury, MA. We help businesses stay productive, secure, and connected through reliable technology solutions and exceptional support.

Our team works across a diverse range of client environments, supporting everything from Microsoft 365 and cloud services to networking, cybersecurity, servers, backups, and business applications.

We are guided by five core values:

  • Teamwork
  • Always Improving
  • Do the Right Thing
  • Be Positive
  • Deliver a Great Experience

We're looking for people who share those values and take pride in helping clients succeed.

What You'll Do
  • Resolve complex technical issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, cybersecurity, backups, and business applications.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, licensing, user management, and security settings.
  • Monitor and respond to RMM, security, backup, and system alerts.
  • Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPN, email delivery, authentication, firewall, and connectivity issues.
  • Support endpoint security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client environments, systems, and procedures.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients and deployment of management, monitoring, and security platforms.
  • Participate in onsite client visits, infrastructure upgrades, technology deployments, and project work as your responsibilities grow.
  • Work closely with teammates to deliver an exceptional client experience.
What Success Looks Like
  • You take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
  • You consistently deliver quality work with minimal oversight.
  • Clients trust you because you communicate clearly and follow through.
  • Documentation is accurate, organized, and useful to the team.
  • You proactively identify and address issues before they impact clients.
  • You become a trusted technical resource for both clients and teammates.
  • You continuously expand your technical capabilities and take on increasing responsibility.
What We're Looking ForRequired Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an MSP, systems administration, technical support, field services, or business IT environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
Technical Knowledge

Candidates should have experience with most of the following:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Exchange Online
  • Teams
  • SharePoint
  • Entra ID
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • DNS and DHCP
  • VPN technologies
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Endpoint security solutions
  • Backup and disaster recovery platforms

You do not need to know everything, but you should have a solid technical foundation and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

The Right Person for This Role

Our best team members are not necessarily the people who know every answer.

They're the people who:

  • Take ownership.
  • Figure things out.
  • Follow through on commitments.
  • Communicate well with clients and coworkers.
  • Learn quickly.
  • Stay positive under pressure.
  • Take pride in delivering results.

If you're the type of person who sees a problem and thinks, "I'll figure this out and get it done," you'll fit in well here.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $75,000-$90,000 salary based on experience
  • Quarterly profit-sharing opportunities
  • 18 days PTO
  • 9 paid holidays
  • Medical insurance with employer contribution
  • Simple IRA with company match up to 3%
  • Pre-Tax Benefit Plan (TASC)
  • Optional Aflac coverage
  • Ongoing training and certification support
  • Clear opportunities for advancement into onsite support, infrastructure projects, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity initiatives
