Job description

QUALITY CONTROL: WHERE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS A MUST.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Lead, this role is accountable for monitoring and ensuring quality control for garments produced in Embroidery. You will communicate with team members when garments are imperfect and need to be redone, then fold, tag, box, count, record styles and quantities, and prepare garments for shipping.

This is a hands-on night-shift production role for someone with a keen eye for detail, reliable follow-through, and pride in quality. Your work helps protect Lakeshirts standards and keeps orders moving accurately from Embroidery to the next step.

PAY + SCHEDULE

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN. This is a full-time, onsite role.

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM.

Pay: $17.00 per hour.

Growth: This role can build skills in embroidery quality control, garment inspection, order accuracy, production workflow, folding, counting, and shipping preparation. Advancement opportunities vary by department and business need.

A TYPICAL DAY

  • Inspect garments for correct thread colors, logo placement, labels, embroidery quality, and general flaws.
  • Communicate with inventory or walk to the inventory area to gather needed garments or replacements.
  • Maintain Lakeshirts quality standards and communicate when garments need correction or redo.
  • Sort, count, fold, tag, box, and record garments by size, color, style, and quantity for shipping.
  • Read work orders and profiles to ensure each account is processed correctly.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly, and organized while following safety practices and OSHA standards.
  • Work actively with others to meet team goals and perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but notrequired.
  • Basic computer experiencerequired, including Excel, Word, or tablet use.
  • Keen eye for detail, quality-focused, meticulous, and self-motivated.
  • Able to work well on a team, take direction, and stay reliable and responsible.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for several hours.
  • Able to stand and remain active for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Previousproduction, manufacturing, embroidery, garment inspection, warehouse, or quality control experience preferred but not required.

Employee must be able to see, hear, read, write, understand, and follow work instructions, order details, quality standards, and safety procedures. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, problem solving, communication, dependability, judgment, reasoning, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

CONTINUOUSLY: Stand, reach, lift and carry materials under 10 lbs., and reach at or below shoulder height while performing production tasks.

FREQUENTLY: Lift, carry, push, pull, twist, and move materials weighing 10-24 lbs. while sorting, folding, boxing, and organizing garments.

OCCASIONALLY: Walk, sit, balance, bend, reach above shoulder height, and lift or carry materials weighing 25-50 lbs.

NEVER: Climb, crawl, or lift/carry materials over 50 lbs. as an essential function of the role.
