Job description

Our Embroidery Quality Control & Layout team plays a crucial role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in every order. Responsibilities

This role is essential to maintaining embroidery quality and ensure accurate order preparation. Your work will involve both Quality Control and Layout Preparation.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

  • Verify that embroidered products match the work order specifications, including color composition, placement, and thread coverage.
  • Work closely with embroidery machine operators to identify and communicate any quality issues.
  • Inspect embroidered items for defects or misprints and notify a supervisor or lead for replacement garments when needed.
  • Ensure that all embroidered goods are properly sorted, counted, and prepared for the next stage in production.
  • Maintain company quality standards while ensuring optimum production rates.
  • Follow all safety and operational procedures to ensure a secure work environment.

Layout Preparation Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve orders from the Receiving Area and organize jobs based on the production schedule.
  • Prepare the layout table, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Count and lay out garments, verifying that quantities and sizes match the order specifications.
  • Notify the QC Supervisor or Lead if product counts do not align with the order paperwork.
  • Evaluate all paperwork to ensure clarity on how orders should be split, if necessary.
  • Match thread colors accurately according to the work order.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean work area, ensuring the layout table is free of clutter before leaving the shift.
  • Obtain and return all necessary tools to the supervisor at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Notify supervisors or leads if materials in the layout line are running low.
  • Assist in trimming backing from embroidered products after designs are completed.
  • Support the Finishing Department in preparing orders before shipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive team player who is committed to efficiency and quality.

  • Embroidery experience is preferred but not required—training is available!
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate embroidery and order layout.
  • Comfortable standing for an entire shift and lifting up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to maneuver a pallet jack, dolly, rolling cart, or push bucket as needed.
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, and lift in a production setting.
  • Able to read and understand English for work orders and instructions.
