Job description

We are looking for a Copyright Administration Coordinator for a top music & entertainment company hybrid out of their Burbank, CA offices. The Company's Music Group is the music hub for The Company, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music, Company Music Publishing, and Company Concerts. The Company Music Group distributes music both physically and digitally, and licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.The Company Music Group is seeking a Copyright Coordinator to be part of their Copyright Administration team. This role will administer Company-owned and controlled music publishing catalogs and support the daily operations of the The Company Music Group's Copyright Administration department.
  • Pay: $30.00/hr
Responsibilities:
Complete day-to-day publishing administration responsibilities under the direction of the Senior Manager, including the following:
  • Perform general song catalog administration and maintenance tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Affairs, Accounting, Finance and A&R teams to obtain appropriate rights agreements and related documentation.
  • Research and analyze agreements and documentation to ensure accurate and prompt set-up and administration of Company works in publishing royalty system.
  • Provide administrative support as necessary.
  • Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of music publishing experience
  • Basic knowledge of music publishing administration
  • Familiarity with copyright protocol, performing/mechanical rights, intellectual property rights, and basic royalty accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic
  • Detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with film and television music cue sheets
