- Diagnose and resolve urgent website problems
- Complete client-requested content and CMS updates
- Update pages, images, links, forms and other website content
- Support websites built in WordPress, Grav CMS and similar content management systems
- Make updates using HTML, CSS and, when necessary, PHP
- Deploy website files or updates to a hosting environment
- Restore or revert a website to an earlier working version when appropriate
- Work with Git or another version-control system to review website history and changes
- Coordinate with Allied as needed when an issue requires additional context
- Document completed work, decisions and any recommended follow-up
- Escalate issues that cannot be safely resolved within the agreed scope or timeframe
From time to time, there may also be opportunities to support small website enhancements, migrations, hosting updates or other development projects.
Required Experience
- Professional experience supporting and troubleshooting live websites
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience working with WordPress
- Familiarity with website hosting, domains, redirects and file deployment
- Experience using Git or another version-control platform
- Ability to diagnose unfamiliar website issues efficiently
- Ability to communicate clearly about the nature of an issue, the proposed solution and the expected completion time
- Ability to work independently using your own equipment and software
- Reliable internet access
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Grav CMS
- Working knowledge of PHP
- Experience with FTP or SFTP
- Experience supporting websites built by other developers
- Experience restoring previous versions of websites or rolling back problematic updates
- Experience working with creative, marketing or digital agencies
