Engagement: Freelance, full schedule

Dates: June 29 through November 6, 2026

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional approved overtime)

Location: On site at our editing rooms, 880 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10022. We are open to hybrid arrangements, when possible, but this is primarily an in-house position.

About the Role

IIL Media is seeking an experienced freelance video editor to join our postproduction team for the IPM Day 2026 Conference and related programming. Most presentations are recorded virtually using Vimeo Live Stream Studio, with sessions originating both domestically and internationally. Familiarity with the Vimeo streaming platform is helpful.

In addition to conference content, the editor will cut and post a short documentary segment for IIL Media's POV series and will work on a series of short promotional and branding videos.

The editor will work directly with the Senior Producer/Writer and the senior management team from marketing and must engage and contribute to productive discussions regarding video content and presentations.

All work produced by IIL Media is the exclusive intellectual property of International Institute for Learning, Inc. Candidates must be able to commit to the full length of the project.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to take direction well and follow it accurately

Preferred:

  • Basic color correction skills
  • Experience with audio mixing and correction
  • Working knowledge of editing shortcuts and tools for efficient workflow
  • Experience editing long form content (25-to-45-minute videos)
  • Experience managing and publishing video assets on platforms such as Vimeo, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Experience serving as the video and audio technician for online video recording sessions
  • Experience working directly with a senior producer to fulfill their creative vision and direction
