Job description

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Entry-Level Financial Advisor who is eager to build a career in financial services and willing to learn individual tax preparation as part of the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in personal finance, and wants to develop a broad understanding of financial planning, investments, retirement strategies, and tax preparation. Prior financial advising or tax experience is not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand their financial goals, needs, and priorities.
  • Assist with developing financial plans and recommendations under appropriate supervision.
  • Learn and explain basic financial products, retirement strategies, investments, insurance, and other planning concepts.
  • Assist with client onboarding, account paperwork, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Learn the fundamentals of individual income tax preparation.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial and tax information.
  • Stay current with relevant financial and tax rules, regulations, and industry developments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Follow all applicable compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interest in financial planning and tax preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to providing excellent client service.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Internship or coursework in finance, accounting, or business.
  • Customer service, sales, banking, accounting, or financial services experience.
  • Experience with tax preparation software.
  • Progress toward industry licenses or professional credentials.
  • Basic knowledge of individual income taxes and personal financial planning.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive training in financial advising and tax preparation.
  • Exposure to both financial planning and tax services.
  • Support for obtaining applicable industry licenses and credentials.
  • A collaborative and client-focused work environment.
  • Opportunities to develop a long-term career in financial services.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is curious, coachable, trustworthy, and motivated to grow. You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, enjoys helping people, pays attention to details, and wants to develop expertise in both financial advising and tax preparation.

If you're looking for an opportunity to start a career in financial services while developing valuable tax preparation skills, we'd love to hear from you.
