Job description

Position Summary:

ISS is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our control systems integrator team in Phoenix, AZ.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design of control systems for industrial power generation, mining, process control, manufacturing, food and beverage.
  • Proficient with PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems. An emphasis on Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens, and ignition for SCADA.
  • Proficient with the development of design drawings, and UL508A requirements. AutoCAD experience.
  • Troubleshooting of PLC/HMI control systems.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions related to instrument and controls for utility systems. Act as mentor and conduct on-the-job training of lesser skilled personnel.
  • Perform other utilities related work as needed.
  • RO System design experience, including water chemistry and various applications.


Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical / Controls Engineering a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, estimating, managing, programming, and installing automated control systems projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC/NFPA.
  • Significant Experience working with Networks including Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus, DDC.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Assistance with Control Panel fabrication when required.
  • Proven success in working at Customer sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • AutoCAD a plus
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; must be able to meet with the clients.
