Job description

Freelance Content Producer (Videographer + Editor)

This is a Part Time position in the field of Sales / Marketing / Advertising / PR / Social Media , located in Newport Beach, CA .

The employer is Prairie.

Location: Newport Beach, CA
Schedule: 3 days per week (flexible)
Compensation: Freelance rate DOE (Depending on Experience)

About Prairie

Prairie is an interior design studio and lifestyle brand based in Newport Beach. Our work spans luxury residential interiors, retail, custom furniture, product sourcing, travel, and everyday moments of running a creative business. We’re looking for someone who loves visual storytelling and wants to help document the behind-the-scenes of building a design brand.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented freelance Content Producer to capture and edit content that feels elevated, authentic, and editorial. This is not a traditional social media manager position. Instead, you’ll spend your days filming the real moments—design installs, client meetings, sourcing trips, styling, shop merchandising, product launches, and the everyday behind-the-scenes that make up life at Prairie. Your job is to document, edit, and package content that is ready to publish.

Responsibilities
  • Film 3 days per week on location in Orange County
  • Capture cinematic and lifestyle B-roll
  • Record behind-the-scenes moments, installs, meetings, and creative process
  • Edit short-form vertical videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Organize footage and maintain a content library
  • Help identify content opportunities throughout the day
  • Deliver polished, on-brand content ready to post
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong videography and editing skills
  • Excellent eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling
  • Experience creating content for luxury, interiors, fashion, hospitality, or lifestyle brands
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal direction
  • Organized, reliable, and proactive
  • Enjoys documenting authentic moments rather than staging everything
Bonus If You Have
  • Photography experience
  • Drone footage experience
  • Color grading skills
  • Motion graphics or animation
  • Experience growing creator or brand accounts
  • Interest in interior design, architecture, fashion, or home
Deliverables
  • 5–8 edited Reels
  • Daily Stories and behind-the-scenes clips
  • High-quality photos for social media, Substack, ShopMy, and press
  • Organized content library for future use
