American Structurepoint's Civil Site Engineering group is seeking candidates to join us for our summer internship program in Indianapolis, IN! As a Civil Site Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management. You'll collaborate with licensed engineers and contribute to the design and development of land development projects that impact local communities. This role offers extensive experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel as you help create and refine construction plans.

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on exciting land development projects-including industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment, and affordable housing initiatives

  • Learn hands-on skills like drafting, plan production, design, field inspections, cost estimation, and project coordination

  • Gain experience using tools like AutoCAD and HydroCAD for design and analysis

  • Assist with calculations, permit applications, technical specifications, and help create exhibits, design drawings, and presentation materials

  • Other duties as assigned

QualificationsWho you are: 
  • Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or related programs with a focus on Civil Engineering

  • Reliable transportation to and from the office

  • Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges
