Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clean Room Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and support clean room HVAC and mechanical systems that meet strict contamination control and pressure requirements. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and customers to deliver compliant clean room facilities for industries such as pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design clean room mechanical systems including air handling units, ductwork, and filtration (HEPA/ULPA).
  • Sheet Metal design flat pattern layout
  • experience working in a sheet metal fabrication facility
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation
  • Coordinate with electrical and design teams to integrate mechanical systems
  • Participate in design reviews and manufacturability reviews
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, and qualification (FAT)
  • Troubleshoot design or field issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years designing and engineering sheet metal components
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) KeyCreator preferred
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and system sizing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering and designing sheet metal components
  • Experience with FATโ€™s and validation activities
  • Employment experience with a sheet metal fabricator
