At Franciscan, our Drivers are critical for the transportation of people both on the hospital grounds, as well as between the hospital and patient homes. In this role you will also at times provide transportation between Hospital and patient appointments.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Respond to calls, and escort and transport patients in a timely and safe manner.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, and ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Utilize prescribed procedures for safely transporting patients in wheelchairs and patients utilizing the bus seats; i.e. use of seatbelts and wheelchair strapping devices.
  • Assist passengers on and off the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner; deal with medical equipment and other emergencies that may arise.
  • Take part in participant care planning and contribute to notations in medical record.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Experience driving an 8-passenger van and operating a wheelchair lift
    Preferred
  • Drivers License - Drivers License
  • Auto Insurance - . WOULD BE FA INSURED
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
