Job description

Job Summary

Ziggi’s Coffee is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly motivated Social Media Lead to own the brand’s social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.

This full-time role is equal parts strategist, creator, and cultural pulse-reader – responsible for growing Ziggi’s social media footprint, driving meaningful engagement, and amplifying our brand personality through standout storytelling. You know our brand inside and out, and you have the range to translate our voice and personality across demographics, platforms, and content formats without losing what makes Ziggi’s distinctly Ziggi’s.

You’re comfortable being the face and personality of the brand through social content when needed – you show up on camera naturally, build community authentically, and know how to make an audience feel like they’re part of something.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, PR, operations, and franchise teams to keep Ziggi’s social content on brand, authentic, and ahead of the curve – while strategically increasing brand reach and follower growth across all channels.

This is not a desk-only role. Regular travel to local Ziggi’s locations is expected – visiting stores, coordinating with franchise owners and managers, and capturing authentic, on-site content that brings the brand to life.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy
  • Develop and own Ziggi’s social media strategy to support national campaigns, local initiatives, franchise development, seasonal promotions, and brand storytelling.
  • Translate Ziggi’s personality into platform-native content that connects with audiences and drives conversation across multiple demographics and channels.
  • Maintain a proactive social calendar that balances planned campaigns with agile, trend-driven moments.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for new store openings, creating buzz and driving community awareness in new markets ahead of and through launch.
  • Identify and implement emerging tools, trends, and platform features to keep Ziggi’s content fresh, relevant, and competitive.
  • Strategically drive brand reach and follower growth across all social platforms.
  • Leverage AI tools natively across your workflow to work smarter and move faster.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape inside and out – tracking competitor wins, gaps, and next moves to keep Ziggi’s ahead.
  • Anchor every decision in data – consistently demonstrating how the team’s efforts move the needle for the business.
Content Creation & Management
  • Lead ideation and execution of high-impact content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Write brand-centric copy that resonates with a variety of customer demographics, including Gen Z and Millennials.
  • Conceptualize, create, and collaborate with creative teams, photographers, and external creators to produce high-quality videos, photos, Reels, stories, and other visual assets –from ideation through final delivery.
  • Step in as the on-camera face and personality of the brand when needed, showing up with confidence, authenticity, and full command of our voice.
  • Oversee scheduling, posting, and day-to-day management of all social media channels.
Influencer & Content Creator Partnerships
  • In collaboration with the Communications Coordinator and broader marketing team, identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with influencers and content creators that align with Ziggi’s brand values.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with micro-creators and loyal fans to amplify organic advocacy and extend Ziggi’s reach.
  • Source and activate user-generated content opportunities that strengthen brand love and awareness.
  • Manage influencer campaigns end-to-end: outreach, negotiation, content review, and performance reporting as needed.
  • Partner with the Communications Coordinator, field marketing team, and other cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate local creator activations, influencer outreach, and event coverage.
Community Engagement
  • Proactively cultivate Ziggi’s online community by identifying and leading opportunities for engagement, advocacy, and brand storytelling across social platforms.
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day community responses across all social media platforms, engaging authentically in the brand voice while working collaboratively with the operations team to escalate customer issues to the appropriate store or through established customer support channels.
  • Spot and activate surprise-and-delight moments and trending conversations that strengthen brand love and awareness.
  • Partner with franchisees to highlight local stories, events, and community moments in alignment with brand standards and tone.
Franchisee Support & Local Strategy
  • Own the content strategy and execution for new store openings – coordinating with franchise owners and the field marketing team to plan and capture launch content, build local audience awareness, and ensure a strong brand presence from day one.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for franchisee content requests, managing the publishing of local content through brand-established Facebook pages in alignment with brand standards and tone.
  • Provide franchisees with clear guidance and recommendations on how to create and submit local content for review and publishing consideration.
  • Create easy-to-use content templates and best practice guides to help franchisees capture and share local moments in a brand-aligned way.
Analytics & Optimization
  • Track and report performance across all platforms – analyzing engagement, reach, follower growth, sentiment, and conversions.
  • Leverage data insights to test, refine, and optimize content strategies.
  • Manage paid social boosts and performance optimization in partnership with the marketing team to maximize reach and ROI.
  • Present regular reports and insights to the Director of Communications, Vice President of Marketing, and leadership team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field required.
  • 4–8 years of professional social media marketing experience, preferably in a consumer brand, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook algorithms, analytics, and emerging trends.
  • Proven ability to grow social audiences and build highly engaged communities.
  • Exceptional copywriting and creative storytelling skills with a sharp eye for brand tone and visual consistency – you understand Ziggi’s brand deeply and can translate our personality across audiences and platforms without losing the thread.
  • Experience managing content calendars, cross-functional approvals, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment – Ziggi’s is a rapidly expanding brand in the restaurant industry and this role demands someone who can pivot quickly, capitalize on trends in real time, and stay grounded in strategy while moving at speed.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, cultivating, and securing influencer and creator partnerships with strong ROI and minimal spend.
  • Comfortable and confident as an on-camera personality when the role calls for it.
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Meltwater, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics), including tracking content KPIs and translating performance data into clear, actionable reports.
  • Familiarity with social media editing tools and platforms (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Express, Canva) to create and refine visual content.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms and tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to support content ideation, copywriting, and workflow efficiency – preferred, but not required.
  • Photography and/or videography experience a plus but not required.
  • Experience with paid social advertising a plus.

  • Benefits package including health insurance.
