Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Framing Carpenter in Rockford, IL. We are seeking skilled Framing Carpenters for contract projects in Rockford, IL, specializing in multifamily, educational, and retail construction. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in both wood and metal framing and is capable of delivering high-quality structural work on large-scale commercial sites.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Execute wood and metal stud framing for multifamily residential, school, and retail buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structural drawings to ensure accurate layout
  • Construct wall frames, floor joists, and roof systems according to project specifications
  • Install exterior sheathing and subflooring in preparation for finishing trades
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials using power saws, drills, and pneumatic framing nailers
  • Ensure all framing components are square, level, and plumb per local building codes
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to meet strict project deadlines
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to site safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial framing or large-scale residential construction
