Description
TITLE: Plant Operator- Gillis/Ragley
LOCATION: Ragley, LA
POSITION SUMMARY:
Employee in this position is responsible for the operation of plant
facilities including natural gas processing plants, which may include NGL fractionation, compression,
electric generation, dehydration equipment, truck loading/unloading, condensate stabilization, amine
treating and control systems. Position requires the ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
Presents a positive and professional image to customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains the operation of all plant facilities in accordance with operating guidelines and
instructions.
2. Makes any necessary process and/or control adjustments to meet production targets or product
quality specifications.
3. Performs routine and emergency operating changes to correct abnormal conditions, reporting such
conditions and corrections to supervisor.
4. Performs routine checks of all operating equipment including storage tanks, product loading areas
and control systems.
5. Prepares product samples, runs product tests, and as needed, prepares product samples for
laboratory analysis.
6. Required to attend an operator information exchange meeting 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift
change.
7. Adheres to all Momentum Safety and Environmental requirements and participates in program
development and reviews.
8. Perform duties in compliance with all associated regulations (PSM, ERP, SPCC, RMP, etc.) which
include documentation and reporting for each regulation.
9. Perform plant facilities inspections and documentation as assigned.
10. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
11. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Momentum staff, co-workers, contractors, partners, customers, and others.
12. Must maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which
confidentiality is required.
13. Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check, and will be subject to
random, for-cause and post- accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and
procedures.
14. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข High School diploma or equivalent is required and: four years' experience in NGL fractionation,
oil refinery, natural gas processing plant and compression operations. The four-year requirement
may be modified depending on qualifications.
โ€ข Must have working experience with pneumatic and electronic controls.
โ€ข Knowledge of computers and communications equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft
Outlook, Word, and Excel are preferred.
โ€ข Must have a working knowledge of PLC control systems.
โ€ข Detailed understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulatory and operating practice
requirements.
โ€ข Must have working experience in the operation of natural gas compression, amine treating, glycol
dehydration, fired heaters, and centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
