Job description

Overview -
  • $25-$28/hour to start, commensurate with experience + overtime.
  • Benefits: Paid training, PTO in first year, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k with company match.
  • Schedule: 5 days on/2 days off and then 5 days on/3 days off, rotating.10-12 hour shifts, day shift.
  • Work: As a diesel and auto mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and tractors (company pickups, class A tractor-trailer and tanker combinations, bobtails, etc) and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires a strong diagnostic background. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, AC, air brakes, lights, horn, lift and install heavy components and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Cummins INSITE and Detroit Diesel DiagnosticLink (required).
  • Extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing Ford F-150 and Ford F-250 (gas and diesel platforms).
  • Experience with fuel pump equipment and hoses.
  • Familiar with DOT and other rules and regulations as pertained to vehicle maintenance and compliance.
  • Ability to keep a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activity on company documentation.
  • Monitor Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for commercial vehicles (Tractor Trailer, Bobtail, Fuel Trailer and Pick-up Trucks)
  • Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (PO's), etc.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $25-$28/hour to start, commensurate with experience.
  • Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week.
  • PTO in first year.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance available after 60 days of employment.
  • 401k after a year of service with 4% company match.

Schedule and Location
  • work schedules is 5 days on/2 days off and then 5 days on/3 days off, rotating. 10-12 hour shifts. Day shift.
  • Occasional travel with business need.
  • Work location is based at our headquarters in Springtown, TX.
  • Must be able to travel to work locations to be considered for employment.
