Job description

Duties * You will perform analyses for systems in all phases of the life cycle (development, production, sustainment) and involve state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing techniques. * You will develop the data sources, cost models, cost estimates and formal documentation necessary to ensure that management decisions are based on sound estimating and analysis principal. * You will collect, normalize, and analyze relevant historical cost, technical and programmatic data.

* You will prepare cost estimates to support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) requirements, program reviews, logistics management reviews, and other management decisions. * You will analyze cost and schedule variances, evaluate the contractor's Latest Revised Estimate, facilitate/conduct a Schedule Risk Assessment and prepare independent projections of the Estimate-at-Completion coordinated within the IPT. Requirements Conditions of employment * Must be a US Citizen.

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methods of contract performance analysis, and schedule analysis/development for air weapons systems/subsystems; and 2) Communicating contract performance analysis, and schedule analysis/development for air weapons systems/subsystems.
