General Information/Job Summary

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Assistant to be responsible for providing assistance to the Real Estate and Facilities Manager in the maintenance and operation of all SI owned or leased properties.

Responsibilities/Competencies

  • Perform routine maintenance on the buildings which includes changing light bulbs, small plumbing issues in bathrooms and kitchens, make minor repair to heating, cooling, plumbing building systems
  • Notify facilities manager of any needed repairs
  • Move furniture, business equipment when required
  • Load, unload or stack containers, materials or product
  • Control & monitor irrigation system & make small repairs
  • Keep four kitchens clean & stocked with supplies
  • Keep conference rooms cleaned & organized
  • Monitor rest rooms for small problems & make sure they stay clean
  • Pick up trash on the outside of our building almost daily
  • Occasionally we shift some of the hours from the week to the weekend to do tasks that are better done in a near empty building
  • Carry a phone 24/7
  • Have basic computer skills

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and meet the company's fleet policy requirements
  • Experience in the repair of small electrical and plumbing projects in order to perform routine maintenance on the buildings
  • MVR along with background and drug screen required
  • Physically able to do manual labor and climb
  • Willing and able to follow instructions
  • Well-groomed and personable
  • Safety minded and willing to following the safety rules and policies of the company
  • Personal and Professional Integrity

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
