Job description

National Accounts Manager โ€“ OEM, Private Label & Foundry Sales

The National Accounts Manager, OEM, P/L & Foundry Sales is responsible for aggressively developing profitable new business across OEM, private label, and foundry customer segments. This is a hunter-focused role responsible for opening new customer logos, building markets from the ground up, and expanding applications for the companyโ€™s aluminum sand casting, machining, assembly, and related manufacturing capabilities. The position also leads the OEM, private label, and foundry account team, with a strong focus on increasing revenue, margin, and foundry utilization within off-road, powersports, truck/commercial vehicle, defense, and other strategic markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute new-business strategies to grow OEM, private label, and foundry revenue, with particular emphasis on aluminum sand casting and strategic growth markets.
  • Prospect, penetrate, and win new customer logos by identifying target companies, applications, programs, sourcing contacts, engineering decision-makers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build a qualified pipeline from the ground up and lead opportunities from initial engagement and RFQ through feasibility, quoting, negotiation, award, validation, launch, and production support.
  • Identify products and applications suited for aluminum sand casting, machining, assemblies, and other value-added manufacturing capabilities; develop strategic account-entry plans to win the business.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Finance to evaluate casting feasibility, tooling, capacity, pricing, profitability, quality requirements, and launch readiness.
  • Negotiate pricing, tooling, commercial terms, longโ€‘term supply agreements, contracts, and customer requirements while protecting revenue and margin objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the OEM, private label, and foundry account team; establish priorities and accountability for prospecting, RFQ activity, newโ€‘logo wins, pipeline conversion, and profitable growth.
  • Expand newly developed and strategic accounts by identifying additional products, programs, applications, and manufacturing opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, business reviews, market intelligence, and competitive insights to leadership; represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales, business development, or national account experience within foundry, automotive, powersports, offโ€‘highway, truck, defense, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated track record of personally developing new customers and winning new business, rather than solely managing established accounts.
  • Proven ability to build a sales pipeline from the ground up, penetrate new markets, and sell technical, engineered, or customโ€‘manufactured products to OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or industrial customers.
  • Strong understanding of technical selling and the ability to work with customer sourcing, engineering, program management, operations, and quality teams through RFQ, negotiation, award, launch, and production.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, forecasting, contract negotiation, tooling economics, and businessโ€‘case development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, relationshipโ€‘building, and organizational skills; ability to travel domestically as business needs require.

Preferred Background:

  • Direct experience selling aluminum sand castings and developing new sandโ€‘casting customers strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of aluminum sand casting processes, tooling and pattern development, machining, heat treatment, secondary operations, and casting applications.
  • Experience selling machined castings, assemblies, or other valueโ€‘added manufactured components; established relationships within offโ€‘road, powersports, truck/commercial vehicle, defense, automotive OEM, Tier 1, or industrial customer networks.
  • Experience with private label, contract manufacturing, coโ€‘branding, or customerโ€‘specific product programs; automotive aftermarket/performance parts, APQP/PPAP, and global sourcing experience is a plus.
