Position Overview

The General Foundry Production role is an entry-level manufacturing position for individuals beginning their career with Waupaca Foundry. Employees will be assigned to a production or service department where they will receive hands-on training to develop the skills and work pace needed to advance into department-specific job classifications.

This role involves heavy industrial work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and includes repetitive tasks, machine operation, and manual material handling.

Employees must be willing to work night shifts, weekends, and mandatory overtime as needed to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete safety training and follow all departmental safety policies and procedures

  • Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)

  • Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6-S housekeeping and workplace organization program

  • Complete training related to ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

  • Maintain a work pace that supports on-time delivery and production goals

  • Operate hand tools, machines, and production equipment

  • Perform visual inspections of castings and manufactured products for defects

  • Handle and lift materials up to 50 pounds
